When you back it up every day, for one. Though it does compress a lot. My db is 743mb but downloads daily as a .gz at 129mb.

Honestly since they took that option out of the ACP, i haven't backed it up hardly at all.. except once or twice server side.

Here is whats listed in the _db_backups folder..
