Thanks - AJAX makes it a lot more usable, and the notifications a lot more helpful. The blue looks a lot better as well.

It's a tweaked version of Abe's Post Thanks hack.....

I think that it's just a modification of vbulletin's reputation system. I noticed a few months ago that it can very easily be tweaked to serve that purpose, and have done so on my site (about 10 plugins and a few template/JS changes were necessary). It works pretty much just like it does here, except that I've kept the commenting feature and reputation points are visible (1 like = 1 point).

One additional feature that I can recommend is a listing of the top likes at the top of each thread:

Mark was referring to his own system, which is a tweak of Abes mod. The system here is, as you say, a tweaking of the reputation system.

It's already been stated many different times, in many different threads that the like system on vb.org isn't going to be released

Paul does the like value vary by user formula ?

Reputation is also still involved in mine too, via Abe's mod, and then also one of your own mods that does rep notifications.....that's how I get like notifications.

Very convoluted. But it works. :)
