Try this in the plugin:

if ($vbulletin->userinfo['usergroupid'] == 6)
{$vbulletin->options['attachlimit'] = 0;}

It should give unlimited attachment to admins while still restricting everone else to the default setting from vb options. This would be everywhere if think.
