How can you rate something to which you haven't actually asked for help to get it working properly, it's not my fault you are impatient and have a designer that doesn't know what he is doing. The code is required to show notifications. It can be found in the default style, if it is not in your style you are using, then it better be a free style otherwise you got ripped off.

If it is not in your default style, then mark my modification as installed and I will help get it working. I don't support those who do not install my modification. I need you to post the VBulletin 4.1.0 PL2 Default Style in code brackets. Only your header template. I didn't click supported for no reason you know...

Thanks for sticking up for me, for that I will send you a premium copy of the modification for free. I need to put some final touches on it however as I have decided to rewrite the premium version from scratch.

This mod has potential. I have no need for it in it's current disarray.

Rewritting the mod from scratch for premium. It will be based on the end user and give them all the power over the modification.

It will create 4 profile fields:
Sound Notification - This allows the user to choose rather or not to enable the modification

Sound Notification Location - This allows the user to choose if the sound is played on all locations of the board or just the forumhome.

Sound Notification Presets - This field contains 10 preset sounds the user can choose from.

Sound Notification File - This allows the user to choose their own alert sound to play when they receive a notification.


It will also feature:
Usergroup permissions
AdminCP Global Disable and Global Forumhome.

You of course can add your own preset sounds to the profile field, or replace with your own via ftp.


I will take ANY suggestions you have. The premium version will be available soon.

where do I get the mp3 file? and where do i upload it to? There wasn't an mp3 in the zip file, just the product xml =S

I uploaded a wav file to use instead, but it doesn't play
I made the necessary edits in the xml file, to header, etc
Have it enabled in admincp>options/settings
It's auto enabled for all users
Yes, it's enabled on my own i.d./profile
but it still doesn't play =S

now my members are getting 'missing profile field' error when they log in, even when everything in profile is filled in properly.
Had to Uninstall, will tag and check back to see if error fixed =S

Exactly the same problem here, all installed and edits done, but still no sound plays.

Have you tried just a mp3 file?

reinstalled and tried using with original mp3 file provided... still doesn't work (yes speakers were turned on)
