Exactly. And anything that can simplify this sort of task for moderators means less time spent on explanations by me. :)

Try the administrative tab at the top of the thread and not the moderation at the bottom right.

Moderators must have permission to move threads.
Check that the following code is present in FORUMDISPLAY:

{vb:raw template_hook.inlinemod_thread_bottom}

Also check that is present in SHOWTHREAD:

HTML Code:

{vb:rawphrase move_thread}

Try to use the default style.
