Make a backup of your current style just so you have it and then create a new "child style" of the one that has issues, do your work in that one. Create a new default style then copy the templates causing an issue from the default style and paste into the currently "messed up" style. See if that helps.

Sorry you've just confused me :( I appreciate your help up until now but what you just said confused the shit out of me :S
