Did this just come out of nowhere? what I mean by that is have you recently upgraded... if so it could be a style issue if not as Lynne asked what mods could be doing this i.e. my same question with mods have you recently upgraded one or installed a new one? Any custom template edits made in your style?

We will need a little more info to help you properly remedy this ;).

So your telling us this problem has been present since your forum was installed with the default theme? That's a new one for me but will take your word for it, the most important thing is ensuring you get this fixed.

First try this:

Code:

AdminCP > Maintenance > Update Counters >

Rebuild Styles
This function allows you to completely rebuild all style information. This is necessary after a major upgrade, or if you have manually edited any of the 'special' templates.
Check For Styles With No Parent

Renumber all templates from 1 Note: this option requires that your MySQL account has ALTER, CREATE and DROP privileges.
If you are not sure, do not use this option!

Set both to yes and rebuild your styles.

IF that does not work create a new default style, are the issues present in that newly made style?

Try installing another forum under a new directory and see if you're experiencing the same situation. If that is the case. It could be your webhost.

Here is my problem .... If i make any thread which includes any of these ( or such as these) characters it will cut of my thread's text ..... e.g " - _ , ; : I really don't understand why is this happening ? Is there any setting to allow these type of characters in VB ??? :( :( :( I am getting tired of it and users r having prob with it aswel. Can someone please help me solving this issue :( :( :( :(

Talk to your host. The only time I have seen an issue like that (and dealt with one very recently), it was a setting on the server.

okay sure i will contact them right now and seee what they say about it... but last time when i contacted them about this issue they said it has nothing to do with these type of issues and m hosting with JUSTHOST.... i will give it another try. Thanks :)
