Yes, but it is now a paid modification, is it not? It seems as though most of those interested are looking for a free modification. I'd suggest it would be well worth the cost to those interested.

I don't like (actually is not permiting too) to post any price here, but if you give a look in my site you'll see that you can get for an unbelievable low price 12 AddOns, Brand Free, and with permission to install them in 3 domains. If you make a simple calculation you'll see that is about $1-2 each. Much less than the minimum donation. So I'm counting them free. Or better.. like donate to get it.

I bought Christeris newsletter and it doesn't work and he doesn't give support. I didn't try ProVB but read some bad things. We need someone to code a reliable community newsletter for us.

You are finding a newsletter for 3 months since I came back to vborg :D

PS: how a newsletter really look like, do you have a demo?

I'll appreciate if you stop saying wrong things (don't say lies). "I'll not teach you HTML". The point that you had problem is out of support. It's design issue which needs HTML knowledge. In the features it says that "You can add HTML code for header/footer". Does not say that I'll provide you this HTML code. And the screenshoot of the newsletter does NOT shows any speicial header/footer.

Also don't forget to complete your sentence:
"I bought Christeris newsletter and it doesn't work and he doesn't give support, but it's true that he issued a full refund, without even asking for it, when I said that is not works for me".

Last thing. There are more than 100 happy clients using my Newsletter. Nobody complained for everything. And a proof for it, is that even if you've post this complain in so many threads here, NOBODY supported your post.

Chris
PS: After your continous blaming on me, I'm getting back the offer that I gave you by allowing you to continue using the Newsletter in your site. Finally it's something that does not works for you, right?

Is every thread that ever mentions a newsletter going to turn into one of these? Because I, for one, am sick of the back and forth. State your favorite newsletter and why. Then move on.

I could not agree more. :)

It's always the same players...but if you don't mind using vBulletin's mailqueue system.

I would recommend this one vBMail

Tip: Use your imagination and use tables. :D

Agreed. Right now, I have no favorite. I haven't found one that combines the features we need, namely, pulling various forum threads from the forums and permitting users to unsubscribe in the profile settings area and the ability to schedule the newsletter at any time, and most importantly reliability and support.

Active Campaign does not pull threads from the forums and create the newsletter content that way for you. You have to make the content yourself.

That produces a newsletter with content from the forum?

@Nelson58
I have given my recommendation and I am aware you have been looking for something for a long time. I know it's a pain when your looking for something good. I didn't comment before because I knew where the discussion would lead.

To Answer your question:
vBMail will not currently produce the content from the forum but you could copy it or link it.

My second new recommendation is add Value to your Newsletter not just generate forum content that the users could visit the forum to receive.
It isn't news if it has already happened. Again add Value.

My recommendation of vBMail is the best Value I can give right now. :D

Running,

What is needed is a newsletter that:

1- draws recent, popular, and sticky threads from the forum.

2- allows members to subscribe/unsubscribe from the General Settings area of their profile (via a checkbox). Also allows them to select an HTML or text version from a second checkbox. Commbull used to do this, but is no longer a supported add-on.

3- provide a header and footer from the site so the site look is maintained.

4- allows you to customize the newsletter with a monthly message.

5- allow you to schedule the date and time of the delivery of the newsletter.

All times are GMT. The time now is 01:59 PM.
