Yes mine has different settings haha

On mine "Asset Manager - Enable" I have a dropdown..you have 'yes' - 'no'

Mine "Advanced Insert Image Popup - Enable" you don't even have this?

Well..there seems to be a lot of errors in 4.0.3 also haha

Seriously though 4.0.4 fixes a lot of bugs. It might introduce more bugs but It is always a good idea to update...unless it is really bad.

I would say update.if you need someone to handle work like this for you now or in the future drop me a pm we handle stuff like this also ;)
