@Onyx_Z32: Iam searching exactly the same thing, some users wrotes blogs, CMS contents, comments, and the activity is not high on this sites, only borad only is ok. becaus of the old members dont know , or like to click on everything , they click only on whats new button and they thing they see all news about the website, includes CMS, Blogs, Groups and others......

its a big shit so they user must klick on "Whats new" -> Blogs -> CMS -> Posts ->- Groups-> ....

thats more than 5 clicks.... no one use it , no user, no moderator, no admin!

hope vbulletin make it better next time...

Let me know if you find anything. I'm talking to our programmer to see if he can write something and I'll post up if he can.

yeh, it would be really nice to see a hack that made 'what's new' pulled in everything

why cant vbb team not makeing a all in one page? :(

I want to add my voice to this chorus. Having all new content show up on one page when the "What's New?" tab is clicked is definitely the way to go. Only showing new forum posts with that tab is poor integration of the CMS and it shows in user behavior. Our users also don't notice new blog entries nearly as often as they notice new forum posts. At least with each new article a corresponding forum post is automatically generated that alerts them to the new article. But the blogs languish without better integration.

is everyone wanting just recent blogs to show up when they hit whats new ? plus the whats new in forums ?

Gunzta 08-29-2010 04:01 AM

+ 1 from me.. Can't believe they didn't put this in as standard.

It would be really nice if the Whats New button showed you exactly that, sitewide results for eveything that is new to you. Forum posts, CMS, Blogs, Albums.. the lot.. :)

No news on this?

Onyx Z32 10-19-2010 12:31 AM

I've kinda stopped worrying about the blogs section because it mostly goes unused. Hopefully something will be available eventually.
