appears as Unknown Location? in Whos Online
this is common on all unknown vbulletin orignal files, this is not a bug as reported, you may contact vbulletin support team to confirm this, but i am 100% sure that Unknown Location? only appears if the file is not from vBulletin itself
Even after removing this mod, I'm getting unknown errors that were not happening before I installed. Please look over you product for abnormalities.

Lovely thank you!

Exactly what I needed, Installed easily and working a treat.

Just one queston if I may, where can I change the text strings on the error pages? Example, on the 404 error page it simply says, "404 - Page Not Found and File or Folder Not Found" (see image below). I'd like to mod this to something else and maybe add a graphic. Is there somewhere I can do this easily, for all the error pages?

TIA

Pete

phrase name= vb4_404_error_message

you need to do a search in Languages and Phrases >> Search In Phrases

Hello Simon,

thankyou for the very promt response, it's very much appreciated. I had suspected that these would be in the phrases area but couldn't see them anywhere in the list. Still getting to grips with VB from an Admin's PoV.

As I was looking through these I had an idea of something you could consider including with these. A custom index.php which can go in the root of the web site.

Like a lot of folks I have my forum in /Forum and believe that the CMS should be at the root with the forum (and perhaps even blogs) in their own sub-f
directorys. Right now I have CMS turned off whilst I figure out what to do with it and whilst I await, with expectation, for the guys at VB to change the layout of CMS vs the Forum structure. In the meantime an index.php that sits at the root of my website and between the header/footer stuff that you have in the error pages. There could be two tables one of the left which simply displays info from 'whats new' and the second table can have a list of links Link 1, Link 2, Link 3 that the user can make his own. Hope that all makes sense. What do you think?

Also, I see you're UK based, as am I. I require someone to do a bit of coding for me, or at least a bit of investigation to see if what I want doing is possible. I shall shoot you a PM so as not to clutter this thread.

I have the option enabled to redirect to the forum homepage, but it's not redirecting.

you need to add the redirects to the htacess file you have
this is something you need to create yourself

there is some bugs in the admin settings page view image uploaded, you also added the possibility to redirect the page after 5 seconds but you did not add a setting for it and are asking us to add this using .htaccess... Also i am sure that the setting "Enable error pages even while forums are closed" is useless because vbulletin wont allow any page to be access if the site is turned Off.

edit: since the plugin is only for vbulletin 4, obviously i am using vb4 :) ( minversion="4.0.0" )
edit: please see picture # 2, there's no text next to the home picture.
