Going with Paul on this one.

vB4 still needs a fair bit of work before it'll be great. I think it'll get there though.

Staying with vb3 for the time being ... until many customizations have been released for 4.0. Running a very busy forum which is quite customized.

Definitely vBulletin 4! Can't wait for it to go Gold!

My question for recent times, not for years ahead. The new vbulletin or vBulletin3! |
Well it all depends on what each admin needs.
For me, it's no contest. I've been having cms needs so badly , because I needed to expand my websites' potential and profile, so vb4 all the way, even with the little i've seen so far, even without any addon modules. |
4.0 Definitely, Upgraded after some hours when it was released :D
|
I'll be running it on a test site for now. I will probably wait a while after 4.0 is released before I upgrade the actual forum. I am only running with 8 mods on the site and two styles so it isn't a huge deal if I lose those.
I think it is crazy how many people I have heard installed it on their live site. Regardless of whether it is getting close to Gold or not it is a Beta version. I don't want to have to go back through and attempt to save my site if there ends up being a serious error down the road with Beta. |
