Otherwise, vB.org has nothing to do with these emails, and they probably got your email address from some other place. |
Does this have anything to do with cookies?

We are not a party in this communication, so complaining here on vB.org would not serve any purpose. But the author has updated the test in the email to exclude the link to vB.org. If you have any more questions regarding these emails, i suggest you contact the sender directly. |

So you condone the sending of email spam so long as it promotes vbulletin.org? As above, it's clear that the emails did not come from vbulletin.org, but it sets a dangerous precedent to allow email spamming which directly promotes vbulletin.org mods. In the meantime, I've received the updated spam email pushing this mod, and indeed it does not include the vbulletin.org link - but I think it's very bad show on the part of vbulletin.org that you are seen to support such behaviour. |
It does not matter whether vBulletin condones the sending of email spam or not, they cannot stop the guy, but they can prevent him from posting links to vb.org... as they have done. If he continued they could graveyard his mod.
I see no precedent and obviously they cannot control it, so suggestion they support it is silly. I am not sure why you are whining here... report it to your ISP and have their IP address blocked. Tell them to remove you. I am sure they will oblige. |
How do you use this once it is installed?
