I agree w/Cheat Master. Some people post the same question on a number of forums looking for help and sometime only respond to one forum (if at all). People get the feeling that they are anonymous on the net and manners don't matter. I would disagree.

Thank you for this thread :D

The thing that annoys me about people is not that they can't say thankyou. It's just that most people just don't think about it. If they ask for support they could atleast reply in saying it worked or that solution you gave fixed my problem.

Your left wondering if this actually helped the person and could benfit other people who have the same issues. People of this nature I never help again. Thankyou or not I don't really require nor do I expect it so it doesn't bother me too much apart from what I explained above.

The reason I don't ALWAYS do it is because I've gotten infractions at many forums for "spaming".

I post: thank you and appreciate the help

A day later find out I got an infraction for a spam post LOL. This is not here, or at least I can't recall it happening here so far at vB.org. But it has come up on other admin forums.

So I decided to not say anything, unless I see lots of others post a thank you.

Better yet, vB should implement the thank you hack. ;)

Take a look at the current generation of kids outside (13 14 etc).

Theirs the answer. (At least in UK, our streets are like a battle field LOL)

People simply don't bring up their kids how they used to, they don't teach them what's bad and good properly (I used to get a hit if I was naughty.. I soon learned LOL), nor do they bring their kids up with manners.

And it's also that a lot of people simply forget they ever posted. Or otherwise are just plain ignorant.

And ones who do post thanks. Good on them! :)

As for me.. Do I post thanks? Yes Always if it helped me.

The main issue is that vB.org did not install the " Thank you " hack ... so its realy hard for some :) ... ding ding ding

oh btw.. thank you

People always complain about the youth, always. Give it a rest. The generation before me funded this:

Before that people had slaves. I could go on and on and on. Humanity is only getting better, not worse.

A simple thanks is one great thing to find nowadays, even if I am 15, I do understand the fact a simple thank you is a good thing. Though, with all the jack---es on the internet, the ignorant people, etc... It's just not worth thanking some people.

I've kind of just got fed up with quite a few people on this website, they're always demanding more because they SAY so, not because they're thankful.

Really, a simple "Thank you" is very nice for a developer to hear every once in a while. </rant>

@WoW video: I think I know that kid O_o looked familiar... Though I don't think he's THAT dorky...

Humanity is not getting better - where is your proof of this ?

Everyday the human race thinks up new ways to torture his fellow man.
Also the youth of today are getting away with murder and thats because the kids have no respect and thats down to the goverment and all the other do gooders telling people what they can and cannot do with their kids.
A good smack would`nt do half of these kids any harm and most of them proberly need it.

As for the older generations starting wars then dont worrie as this generation and the rest to follow will do exactly the same.
