I also use this same design but I have had problems with it. The color is much better of course and easier to read. Your previous header may look good with this if it is spruced up a bit. I have you checked vbskin.com for more free designs? I think there is one there that might work well for you.

That is a nice, clean style actually - you could definitely do well to have a custom logo/header designed, along with matching forum status icons and buttons! That would improve the quality of your style and make it unique. But as it is now - It's a bit naked and needs help.

A more lively look would be nice. Possibly a picture of Obama is a start.

What do you think of the CoverItLive function embedded at the top? And the banner needs to be unique so it's taking some time, any ideas?

the skin is good but how about a better banner and adding some good content. ppl aren't going to magically appear and do it for you. do your site the favor!
