Thank you for your replies everyone. I feel good and bad now. LOL Glad some of you are still learning, bad because some of you got it so fast.

I'm having the most trouble understanding which templates are what. There are so many of them. Also understanding which line of code does what. When I pull up a template and see all the coding, it might as well be in a foreign language. Well actually it is a language of it's own and it's foreign to me. Variables, prefixes, bb code, plugins, products are difficult for me too.

I'm sure if I had some coder experience and knew all the technical lingo, this probably would be a much easier process.

I was placed in a huge pickle with some unreliable tech support for two years and they added and changed things I never authorized so I'm having to learn and undo a lot. Thank god I have great tech support now. But this has forced me to learn this stuff, something I should have done a while ago.

Thanks to all of you and your patience, I'm very slowly but surely getting it. :erm:

Not that long to be honest, and given a random guess (I honestly don't know, but I've probably learnt about everything in the default install by now), I'd say probably a week. The somewhat oddness here though is that vBulletin is apparently a complex piece of software, yet the one I've learnt most about in the quickest time (I basically said no to phpBB in about a day, hated Wordpress, was too much of a newb back when using Invisionfree to learn much about it and probably currently know about 1% of Media Wiki).
