I would prefer if this didn't try to auto add itself to my template so I could manually place it under 'community' and/or 'quick links' as my navbar is pretty full as is. Also I use vbadvanced so I guess I would need it to work with that also,

so I edited out the auto link from the xml file and added the link manually to my community menu- works great... also I have vbadvanced and have no issues so I don't know what the other person's issue was?

If anyone wants these are some quick custom X and O transparent PNG's, look great on both white and dark backgrounds... the included ones weren't so great on dark styles. Also an optional 'tic tac toe' background image.

I am also getting a warning on the bottom of every page:
Uncached templates: cyb_tictactoe_link (1)
But only admins see it.

FYI this mod causes a conflict with the vbISpy mod... with Tic-Tac-Toe mod enabled the spy mod won't work. My solution is posted in the vbISpy mod thread.

I kept getting the error "Choose An Empty Field" on forum home as well.

So I put it in my FORUMDISPLAY template and it works perfect on 3.8.6.

Open FORUMDISPLAY Template. Add "$cyb_tictactoe" after "$navbar". Save. DONE!!
