reboot will usually solve it
or google the error you see like mentioned above
or install linux and never see the BSOD again

google it, because there is a ton of distro ... search "linux distribution" ...ubuntu is popular

I really... really don't want to sound rude.

But if you can't figure out and fix a simple BSoD, I don't recommend running Linux. Even the easier ones like Ubuntu. Seriously.

And for future reference, you have got to post more information. Do you get a BSoD, then a crash, does your computer still boot, apparently safemode still works, that's a clue to help find the answer. Also, as stated, get the error code and google the hell out of it. If you don't find an answer within 10 minutes of googling, I would be shocked.

Good post. Even with the ease of use in Ubuntu they are still lagging behind in hardware support, although most of it is not their fault. Linux is frustration unless you tailor build a machine to run the OS on, most are not in that situation.
