I wouldn't post in a forum without having read the information on the vBulletin site, so I know they have a program for migrating the data. What I don't know is how well it works, and what successes people have had with it.

There should be little to no issues with ImpEx for SMF, as the script is classed as Tier 1 (i.e. actively maintained by Jerry). As you have said you've read the information in the manual, I won't bother posting a link to what is and what is not imported.
