However, its called BOTM. I just have to agree that if you guys dont have time, why not appoint someone who does?

Yep - I don't like it, but I suppose it's better than no BOTM contest...
Oh wait a minute - no it's not

Maybe you could explain that one to me. How does this take anything away from anybody?

Because there are only going to be 6 BOTM winners now, rather than 12. Less chance of winning?

I would agree that there would be less of a chance of winning, if the contest was limited in some way. But this contest is ongoing. Indefinite, as far as I know.

but the winners get more exposure ;)

I'm not really keen on this, because:

1. It's misleadingly called 'Board of the Month' when it should be called 'Board of the Two Months'

2. Less forums get in, and I don't see how they'd get more popularity from it.

3. I don't think more nominations equals more chances, since those could actually have a chance at winning one month's rather than being up against more competition.

Why not have it set up like the modifications, maybe have like a 'Nominate for Board of the month' button in the community review threads.

Not a bad idea really - but then it would become more of a popularity contest than it already is https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/
