This is really great, i used to have to edit the permissions of each new member of staff before. This makes it so much easier thanks!

Thank you, it's really great work.

Just in case someone has uninstalled your hack and is trying after to reinstall what results in getting the dreaded DB Error. Just a side note ;) Great hack and good idea by the way - Installed :) Thank you!

Installed, and a good addition to VB forums.

But yes, definetly add this to the product install xml, or you will end up having to go into phpmyadmin to fix the incomplete uninstall.

Just wondering if this hack enables the user to hard delete only their own things... or does this give them the ability to hard delete any post or comment ?

Jafo232 09-25-2008 12:18 PM

No, it only gives them the ability to hard delete or not.

It does only hide it yes.. If you are having trouble with your mod's doing that, time for new mods.. :)

I trust my moderators, but if someone manage to get access to their account it is possible that this person will physically delete all posts.

That is the least of your problems if they gain access to the account.

This is a Great Addon safe us admins lots of headaches Great Work!:D

Been Told 11-29-2009 07:01 AM

After I installed this hack, admins were no longer able to hard delete threads, even though the "Can Hard Delete" setting was set to "Yes" in the Admin user group. Any fix for this?
I'm running 3.8.4 PL1.

Jamey 01-28-2010 10:09 PM

Any updates for 3.8.4?
