You were implying that it multiple connections worked, now you're saying it doesn't? See post #8....

please help me how to allow 4 connection in that case

That post implies that you have multiple connections working and that you want to then limit it to four connections only.

maidos 08-01-2008 09:45 AM

well in that case u ormyself misinterpet

That is wrong - Apache will support download resuming/part splitting "out-of-the-box", as it is simply a header request for specific parts of the file. Unless you have disabled accepting these headers yourself, they will be "enabled".

I assumed that your reply stated that multiple connection is possible therefore i thought since it was possible i wanted to raise to 4 connection but didnt knew how and i asked you for help

Dismounted 08-01-2008 12:03 PM

Out-of-the-box, Apache will allow as many connections as possible. I said multiple connections are enabled by default - if it didn't work for you, why didn't you just say so?

My comments in post #8 still stand though.

maidos 08-01-2008 12:11 PM

and as my earlier post said, they have no clue. They strongly believe that multiple connection is not possible as long as i have apache installed.

i thought you would understand that message that i could never get multiple connection possible consider that my sysadmin and the host said that with apache multiple connection is not possible. maybe ididnt made my msg clear enough?

But if you think it is possible what server configuration do i have to give you in order to raise the connection limit?

Dismounted 08-02-2008 04:32 AM

There is no connection limit - unless you have modified Apache. Can this be any clearer?

maidos 08-02-2008 05:43 AM

Clear enough. Though i havent modified the apache but im uncertain about what sysadmin did because they said they only optimized the server. They keep saying that apache can only give one connection because of the apache. Any help?

Dismounted 08-02-2008 11:04 AM

I don't know what they did - I do know, however, that Apache can give more than one connection per IP, as been stated several times.
