Pick something you personally like, because if you don't enjoy running the forum and have no interest in the topic, there is pretty much a 0% chance of it succeeding. Think to yourself what your favourite topics and hobbies are, and make a forum based on that.

BCB - Bad Customer Bureau - Post information about customers who have ripped off businesses or are unethical rude, as warnings to other companies not to sell to them.

^ kind of like the opposite side of the BBB

An Energy Site - discussions on different types of energy would be a big hit now since Oil prices worldwide are huge, car manufacturers are making hybrids and cars that run off other sources, and alternate energy types are huge in discussion.
