Okay is these steps correct:
  • Download 3.7.2.
  • Close live forums.
  • Make backup [Incase].
  • Then change the upload folder to "forums" so it's the same as the one on my server.
  • Upload it and click overwrite all.
  • Then launch the URL with upgrade.php to upgrade.

Yup, and also disable any add-ons you may use, such as the Google toolbar - don't want to be causing any crashes. ;)

Tapage, there's no need whatsoever to change the config.php unless stated otherwise in the release announcement, at least that's what I was taught. :)

You *may* want to use the new 3.7 config.php, it has new options, such as using XCache as the datastore.

I actually used the new one and went ahead with it. It was easy, and very simple. Thanks for the help guys and gals. :D
