Yes this is possible, it just requires removing that table cell.

I might actually look at doing this soon and releasing it along side the left image version

I cant see why the MGC chatbox wouldnt work as the navbar and forumhome templates on this template are not heavily modified. I think that mod just adds hooks at the end of the nav template.

Ive started working on a version im going to call Darkness2 which will be the version without the left column:

The only problem im having is that with different resolutions especially 1920x1200 the banner doesnt fully stretch. And i dont want to make the banner 1920 pixels because the filesize will be pretty big.

I might try and find a script that will allow me to detect browser sizes (800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1920x1200 etc etc) and have it load a different banner for each resolution

Well then i will wait until u remove the TOP LEFT BANNER stuff..this way the board look 100% view .

so you make it using 1920x1200 monitor resolution ? Other thing is, the alignment between last post and threads for each room is not the same from your forum link. I have seen here there's a mini mod to adjust that to the same size. :D
or maybe you can add fixed size style also.
