I sent a PM to the fact that the banner links created after the page is viewed are broken. Suggestions? And...I wanted to ask if when clicked will the browser open in a new window by default? Nice Mod.

Suggestion: Allow the placement of a banner at the header and footer with this mod from Admin. Or does this mode perform that function? I missed it if so...

i get this message when someone clicks on the link for the sponsor... i followed all the steps

"
Warning: require_once(./global.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/e/u/r/euroe93/html/vB.Sponsors/link.php on line 32

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/e/u/r/euroe93/html/vB.Sponsors/link.php on line 32"

I also had this problem...To fix it, you need to do this (taken from the documentation website):
Quote:

1. Open upload/vB.Sponsors/link.php in notepad, wordpad or similar editor.
2. On line 30, enter the path to your forum. This is the physical path not the URL. If your forum is located in /usr/com/userid/forums/, the path would be /usr/com/userid/forums/.

Good suggestion.

I'm not sure what you mean. You can use an image as a banner. Or you can use AdSense

Yes, image as banner is exactly what i mean. Also can i put a swf as banner ?

You can. If its not an "active banner" (meaning you can't click the animation) it should work fine.

That's pretty much the answer. If you are having issue like that, it HAS to be the path you put in. Double check it. The slashes at the beginning and end are important.

Anyway for an Update of this wonderful Add On to allow Sponsor Ads on Header nd Footer of Forum?

RedGTiVR6 07-02-2008 12:40 PM

if this mod included the ability to add side banners (skyscrapers) it would be sweet.

the advertisement management 2.3 mod seems to not work right and we're looking for a solution that does it all.

The ability to set viewing per user group would be sweet as well.

Is anyone having the issue of broken links? Am I missing something? I've set up for text only sponsorship. Added the links in Admin. Added the name in Admin. Clicked the appropriate checks for not showing banners, etc. The ads show on the forum heading, but when clicked the link pulls up an error message.

Confused.

?

And now a word from our sponsor... Well if I had one it would go here. Or maybe here. Not really sure where I'd put it.... Updating the site.... Be back soon.
*yawn*

great Mod

But how can i remove the text that says

Forum Sponsored by:

I need to remove this because with a fixed forum width it disrupts the forum image I have to the left because there is not enough room to fit that text and another image

My Forums so you see what I mean

Thanks in advance
