They actually encourage graphics like this, provided the person creating the style/theme using the graphic is not taking a profit from it. "Fansite" graphics/material can be obtained from a number of locations.

I don't dispute that. Activision actually takes the time to make the their logos, for this game and most of their other games, downloadable on their site for purposes such as this style. You'll find most gaming companies are very eager to have their product logos incorporated into as many sites as the can possibly manage. It's great word of mouth and better than Google Adsense for targeting their advertising specifically to gamers.

Not trying to knock what you're saying here, I loath copyright violators myself, but it's not the case here. If you have a look at the Activision site you'll find logos and guidelines for use readily available for download.
