Let me do some load up thinking here :D
Ok, if you want to store your favorite threads in a special place, that only you could see: First you'd need to make an extra table to the database. When a user submits a thread to his 'thread diposatory', a thread would be copied from the threads table to the new table, and tagged with the user's name (for retrieval) Then when a users visits his thread collection, all the threads with the correct tag (username) would be selected. It could be done with some mysql querys and a little hacking :) |
hi everyone, thought i'd jump in without the php knowledge :D
i came across this php script called bookmarker at http://www.renaghan.com/pcr/bookmarkerd.html could this be integrated into vbulletin as a favourite threads hack ? i have no idea of php so will let you guys mess with it... i am going to install bookmarker as a standalone thing... but thought i let others know about it |
has anyone had any success in making this hack?
for that matter, has anyone even tried to make this hack? It will probably be a server hog, but it would still be a great feature for those boards that can afford it. |
