Thanks Lynne, but is there a way to disable the linking option?

I was looking for that for you but didn't find it with a quick look. I'd have to do some searching to see. Or, if anyone else knows, please post about it.

Why doesnt vbulletin fix this?

Have you tried posting over at vb.com about this? vb.org is a modification site, it has nothing to do with the actual coding of the official vb software.

Ok Ill try to get support there... but Its realy interesting, I remember that a friend of mine had this problem a year ago... and vbulletin still hasnt done nothing...

What's weird is, I was reading a few threads about this, and they upload the avatar from the external url just as the upload the avatar from your computer. So, both should have to go through the same filesize constraints as they are uploaded.
