My admin structure is... Me Myself and I, mainly because no one posts :( But that might be because I'm not done with the site yet :p

I have 6 admins and 5 moderators to handle about 2000 users.

Ok for the gfx site im making now here is what i use Admin>Super Mod>Moderator>Class Crew> and Designer.
But what i usually use is Admin>Super Moderator or Jr.Admin>Moderator thats what i usually use.
I dont see why people want two different Admin usergroups its a waste of time and it just seems useless.

My own forum's staff structure is pretty simple; one admin, a few global moderators and a few normal moderators. Never saw the need for more than one administrator unless a board gets to have a huge memberbase which is growing extremely quickly, and I personally prefer lead moderators because individual forum moderators I find annoying to manage.

I've got myself, a couple of admins with the same full access, and about a half-dozen super moderators with the ability to infract and ban.

I don't tend to worry about a rank system. My team is under strict instructions that they are members of the community first and moderators second. They are also told to kick me up the bum when and if I need it. They do. I also have a specific rule for me - I won't always like or accept advice, but I will always listen.

It works for me and my place.

My New York Chat site has just me as the admin, and two active super moderators.

My old site had many more super mods and regular moderators, but I was using it as a promotion type in an attempt to reward active members.

In the end that ended up causing a lot of problems.

I think what I learned from that is if I have a big site again that needs more active moderators, set a policy up front that mod positions will be reviewed every 6 months. If you are no longer active and/or generally not a positive influence on the site the spot will go to another member if a better candidate exists.

Think of it more like regular elections than a lifetime appointment.
