Yes we do, and its really funny that there is no such a mod, reliable one
Even outside of vb.org there is no any (I cant find it) for Vb, even for $

So regarding to this mod..... I will give it a try these days

But as you said its old mod, need some tweaks....problem is that Iam new to this and will encounter some problems that I will not be able to resolve by myself

The popup private messaging mod used to be called "Facebook chat". It is technically private messaging, but it pops up and displays like a chat box. Then, if you remove the inbox limits it will be even more like IM. Alternatively, it wouldn't take much to modify it to store the messages in a different table - like an IM table.
