Well.... the change of the password, and I did modify the config.php, doesn't seem to be doing anything.

The sql file is only 222mb. I just keep getting canned: "Hello, We are working on your issue. We will get back to you with the updates." messages from my host. lol And no, I'm not pestering them. I'd rather they work on my site than spend their time messaging me.

Sad thing, until now my hosting company has been pretty great. It just seems like they are grasping at straws. This just bites.

This is most likely not a corrupted database, but simply a badly configured PHP.

Tell your host to recompile PHP using "system mysql".

In essence, you are correct. It was that coupled with a poor Xcache installation.

I need to send a huge thank you to Anthony. He took time out of his evening and corrected our problem in under an hour where my host took four with no resolution.

Anthony, thanks so much again!

Not very good advertisement for your host if they can not locate such a simple problem to be honest. The error message was pretty clear and enough information to know what is failing.

PS I mean if i can "guess" what is causing it without server access, then......

LOL you think? :p

I was itching to move as it was and this has pushed me over the edge. Sad thing....these guys have a great reputation, and I've been with them for over a year now. grr I hate having to move sites.

Unfortunately this was a tech issue and the bad recompile of apache/php, had nothing to do with the db itself, sometimes this can relate to old password issues from older versions of MySQL, but it was not the case here.

The drunk sailor strikes again! :D
