did someone mention stereo's lol. I'm currently trying to build a custom enclosure. Already got a competition alpine head unit alpine 'D' class amps 0 guage wire from front to back competition grade speaker wire from from to back...basically the list is quite extensive lol. When i get my other car on the road(the Toy! lol) that'll be the car i use to take the kid to school, then the fun really begins on my sound car, back seats out first of all lol!!

Or, do like we do...ride the bus.:)

not been on a bus in wot a good 15yrs - i prefer my own transport. As for saving the envioronment what little damage i do is small compared to what some companies kick out and if we all stopped using cars for a week it would be wiped out by what China produces in a day.

For us, it's about saving money...cars are so expensive.

For the love of god don't put heavy chrome wheels on that thing! You can get nice looking, lighter, and cheaper rims for much less. Don't get oversized rims, they make the car handle like mud. ;)

As for speakers....if you're going to throw a sub-woofer in the back you might as well replace the ones in the front to. Be careful...that can become an expensive hobby. :p

In my Grand Marquis I had a 10 inch woofer in the back inside a custom built (ported) box with a Class D amp pushing around 500watt RMS. I loved it until it beat my car to death and I ended up with so many vibrations that I _had_ to turn the radio on at highway speeds. These days I'm a bigger fan of the sound of an engine turning high RPMs...plus the stereo is a lot of extra weight that I prefer not having. ;)

Send me a PM if you need some help/advice on the stereo, I can help you out with that in more ways than one. ;) Also keep in mind that if you're going to do this right you'll be spending a lot of money on things that aren't speakers. For example in my last car the wiring, new alternator, and new batteries ended up costing me way more than the amps, speakers, and custom box. Although I did get a very good deal on my hardware.

Also don't go into "stereo shops", most of 'em are con-artists that don't know the first thing about car audio. Deal with local "working out of the house" guys instead and do your research online before you pay cash for anything. :)

Thanks in the tip.

As for the rims. Must likly, they'll be like these.

except much better than that one :)

as for the sub-woofer. It won't be hard to get it since I have a friend that has these stuff and sell them cheap for me.

I drive an Oldsmobile. Sometimes people laugh at me. I don't really mind. A $30,000 Oldsmobile is a lot more car than a $30,000 Mercedes or Audi, and nobody steals them. Ever. I parked my unlocked car outside an apartment complex notorious for car theft every day for four years, and nobody touched it.

Meanwhile, the guy across the street got his KIA stolen. I mean, WTF? Who steals a Kia? Honestly.
