Problem with that is, your giving people the idea of hacking your site. Your better off with a message with something like "The website is closed for maintenance and upgrades". That way if the people contact you, just pretend the maintenance isint over yet.

Well, thats the beautiful part about it. If they think its hacked, why would they even bother messaging you? I usually don't go back to a site if I think its hacked, just a waste of time! And I'm pretty sure maintenace and upgrades don't go on for 30 years :D. They will know somethings up by the first week or two.

Nice idea. I would prefer to make it to a 'Domain parked' or 'Account suspended' page instead of 'Site hacked' hehe.

Im actually going to consider the Account suspended page one, and a godaddy parked page. Good idea. More releases of this hack coming up!

Do you think a FBI or something similar website poping up and saying their IP will scare them? I dont, but maby it will get the novice?

Oh god thats a good one. Ill do one stating their IP and that the board is under federal investigation, and they will be questioned the next time they come. That will be sure to scare off some potential n00bs.

Or you can do one of them vbulletin errors, probly The board is offline as we have ran into some legal trouble, we have moved location and those who i trust will receive and email shortly.

Or maby even a SQL error! :)
