ok, i wil lgive you a hint for search engine indexing:

http://dmoz.org ... locate the proper category where to place your url, and "suggest URL" on the top of the page.

reason why dmoz.org is the only one needed: ALL the major search engines are driven by dmoz... google, yahoo, altavista, etc... they are trigger the url here in the first place.

Forget VBSEO... You can install many mods individually that will do the same thing and not cost an arm and leg... I like the zoints mods myself plus if you do your research via google you can find many additional tricks and changes that work well..

First thing-- site seo... Find the top sites in your topic and get some keyword and description ideas from them. Try and place your keywords in your title and also through out your site...



Submit to every decent directory you can find... Them submit your link to every related site you can find... Also, subit to the search engines. Submitting to just one is not the best way... It is much faster to submit to the major ones... I have software so I just submit to as many as I can... Feel free to submit here.. http://www.isubmitfree.com

I agree though-- make sure you get into dmoz. Be very careful with your submission because it is not a sure thing...


Enable rss on your site and submit those links as well. It is surprising how many people do not submit thier rss feeds...


After you have all that done make sure you have good content on your site, a robots.txt and generate and submit sitemaps.... There is a great mod here that does it...

I also have to give a thumbsup to google webmaster tools... Use them.. They are your friend...

Figure out the keywords you are really interested in for your site. Build your page rank up. Submit your site to a lot of directories. Paying for cheap directories can help, IMO.

Er.... what's a robots.txt?

Its something that tells the crawlers of the search engine what to exclude when their searching.

vBSEO is never the answer.Firstly make sure it is XHTML valid.Then get as many backlinks as possible.That's the whole trick

in many places i read they wont add,unles they got paid..
and as i found most of them are lazy bum...arg

Posting on forums with your url in your sig is a good way to build links.
