yes to both. I can make gradient images fine, but can't upload new ones . I get an error that says they are not the right size, yet when I check attributes in photoshop they are the right dimensions.

I cannot simulate this effect. I tested it on the testserver.

Make sure the image is 350*19

I found the error. If an image has an extension of .JPG instead of .jpg it returns an error that says the file is not an image. Changing the extension to lowercase works, but is there any way to fix that?

*nix does prefer lowercase.

What is involved to installed the mod_rewrite for a windows server. My ISP tells me he does not like installing these kinds of scripts because they can cause issues and does not want to cause any server issues for other hosted clients. Is mod_rewrite a free addon for IIS/Windows? Any risks,performance issue involved.. Any positive factors I can go back to my ISP with will be helpful.. Really like this mod (=:

That is pretty standard on most servers - just tell them that you are going elsewhere if they can't provide it, and I bet you will have it installed for you. If not - get another ISP with more modules enabled.
