The sidebar shows up in that live demo only on forumhome. How is it possible to display that side navigation on all pages?

I really like there navigation that they have down the left side of vbulletin.

How would you customize this navagation bar so it would look really fancy and cool like how this site has. If anyone has expierence I am interested in paying for some work done.
