Did any others than the OP get positive results from this?

Not from his tactics, but we have gotten alot of results from signing both our main forums up for myspace.

Http://www.myspace.com/tampaforums and http://www.myspace.com/tamparacingdotcom - we've gotten quite a few new members from both.

does this still work?

garala 02-07-2008 10:33 PM

How much visitors did you attract per day doing this? LoL

jking222222 02-09-2008 01:19 AM

I got 35 friends in a day by just searching user interests that matched my site's...
I think 1 of them actually went to my forums and joined =/
But now I have them all as friends, and when I have contests and giveaways, they will know and maybe join then...

this is a great method for generic type websites. If your site specializes in a niche such as mine does (poker), the multiple add sites and programs will be of little benefit. Instead manual searching and adding to your friends will be more beneficial for your site's growth

Horrible thoughts and suggestions ...

Mods : We have someone here promoting spamming here. While we are out these trying to stop spam on our communities, this guy is teaching how to promote that on a site that someone put their effort and money to make. Can we please put an end to such articles ?
