Sometimes you post a question and while your waiting for help you try to fix it yourself. Often times I end up fixing half of the issue, and want to post an update. for example:

And if you simply edit your previous post, people who have already read your question may not read it again to see if anything has changed in the initial post. But they might if there were a new post.
This is important because the other person may not have known the answer to the initial question, but could give a solution to fix the 2nd error that's occuring, as a result of the user trying to fix it on thier own.
