No, I put all of the files in the cpstyles folder.

Oh, I know, I probally didn't update some changes in the css file, I'll fix it later today

I suspect you are right. :)
../../cpstyles/vBulletin_3_Royale/cp_tblhead_bg.gif is an example.
I deleted ../../cpstyles/vBulletin_3_Royale/ and it looks much nicer.

well you go to

vBulletin Options > Admin Control Panel Options > Control Panel Style Folder

and you select the style.
