This would be great with vbPlaza, you could have say 5 points to play a game, if you won you get double points, if wrong you lose the points. Just an idea, now we need someone to look into this.

Right now I would suggest NOT integrating a points system with this.

If you guess the wrong letter you can click the back browser button and enter in the correct one.

Or if you get to where you've made 5 wrong guesses, you can go to a different page on the site then go back to the hangman, and it's on the same word but you get to start over with your guesses..

So it is HIGHLY abusable right now if you won points for completing words.

What would be cool if you could have multiple words lists and have it display the name of your word list on the page above the puzzle.

This way the users can choose the category they wish to play from.

I'm adding it immediately to several of my sites, this was one of our favorites! Thank you SO much for getting this hack finally updated! I tried with several people and it never did get completed! Kudos to you! :D

Small bug (well not really but close enough).. lol..

After you win in Hangman, it randomly chooses a new one.. Which is fine.. However, each time you go to play Hangman the first time it chooses the very first puzzle every time..

For example, if you go to play and you're using the movie titles add-on you always get "NED KELLY" first instead of randomizing the very first time you play too. Can that be adjusted by any chance so it doesn't only choose a new random one AFTER you win and instead also chooses a new one whenever visiting hangman.php?

Hmm....The random stuff was set up all by Erwin. I may look at it and see what I can do about it.
