I don't suggest using anything but vBSEO.. I'd use vb default over any of the "free" versions.

There is a big bug with mod_rewrite that many don't know about but there can be huge amounts of duplicate content made.

to edit the copyright, you look at the config_vbseo in the includes folder ( go figure :p )

Code:

// ****** COPYRIGHT NOTICE ******
        // As per the License Agreement (www.crawlability.com/vbseo/license/), you may NOT remove (or modify) the
        // copyright notice. Select one of the copyright notices to be displayed in ALL pages enhanced by vBSEO:
        //
        // Linked
        // 1. Search Engine Friendly URLs by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8
        // 2. Content Relevant URLs by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8
        // 3. Search Engine Optimization by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8
        // 4. SEO by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8
        // 9. Ping/Trackback Enabled by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8
        //
        // Not Linked
        // 5. Search Engine Friendly URLs by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8 ? 2007, Crawlability, Inc.
        // 6. Content Relevant URLs by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8 ? 2007, Crawlability, Inc.
        // 7. Search Engine Optimization by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8 ? 2007, Crawlability, Inc.
        // 8. SEO by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8 ? 2007, Crawlability, Inc.
        // 10. Ping/Trackback Enabled by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8 ? 2007, Crawlability, Inc.
        //
        //
        // When this option is set to '0', the system auto-selects a copyright notice for you. Setting this
        // option to a value from '1' to '10' will display the copyright notice of your preference.

Duh. Of course it would be right under my nose. ;) So there is no way to format the font, edit the text, or anything for the copyright versions? We can only choose from those numbers? I must say that is dissappointing. :(

You can place <!--VBSEO_COPYRIGHT--> anywhere in your template and wrap a DIV around it to change the font/etc.

Though, you really should probably continue this question on vbseo.com, where the official support is. ;) Also, you should upgrade to RC8. RC3 is quite outdated.

vbseo works with Zend or Ioncube

Simple fact: You get what you pay for.

Is it expensive? Well, expensive is relative. However, yes -- it is a bit towards the other end of the price scale.

It's not a question of price, really -- if you're serious about SEO, it's a question of value. Simply put, ask yourself if you'll return a yield on your investment. If not, then vBSEO isn't for you.

When I took the plunge and purchased vBSEO, I was a bit hesitant because all I saw was the cost. However, after reading the success stories I decided to give it a try. Within 2 months, I had already paid for vBSEO twice over (and since then -- heh, let's just say I feel like an idiot for not purchasing it sooner!) So in my case, it was worth it.

You just need to sit back and decide if you need vBSEO, or if you want it.

mine host say this: We do not use zend optimizer and do unfortunately not offer to change our server configuration. There is Zend ENGINE v. 1.3 on the server.

There is Zend ENGINE v. 1.3 on the server Is that good enoug for vbseo?

Thanks already :)

There is no need for Zend Optimiser (but 99% have that installed) for vBSEO, you will need Zend Encoder.

There is 1 thing about any "SEO-Solution" that is often forgotten:

Obviously links from SE's are very important to you, otherwise you would not even consider purchasing a script to assist with it. You should however always keep in mind that once you make the choice to go this way (no matter which solution) you have committed yourself to a mariage "for good and bad times, until death do us part". If you for any reason are not satisfied (anymore), you need to change product because it will not work anymore with a new vBulletin version, or any other reason, you will loose all your links that you have spend so much time on, unless you find a new product that will produce the exact same links to your content.
