I had something like this on an old phpbb forum and a member deleted himself and rejoined at least 4 times. In fact, every member who ever deleted themselves ended up coming back again.

I could do with something like this ... maybe a cooling off period of 24 hours, just in case the user changes their mind ... or at the very least a field where a note can be sent to admin with the reasons for leaving.

Maybe make a few ACP options for this.

1. Allow users to delete themselves - Y/N
2. Amount of time before system removes thier ID
0 being immeditate and any other input in actual minutes
3. Email user confirmation email that also invites them back but noting they will have to re-register - Y/N

that would be nice.

REALLY hope this is developed

1- EXIT interview (admin/mod can define questions e.g. why are you leaving? include ability to create field for username they may be complaining about----give that user "BAD" mark each time a user terminates "because of them" only seen by mod/admin)
(option to have their request for termination sent to admin in PM or email)

2- Email user stating they have X days to change their mind before their account is terminated

3- Terminate account after X days, unless admin/mod intervines

A quick note, the confirmation code got sent to the bulk box in yahoo and was blocked by another users spam filter. It would be nice if the confirmation code could be sent more than once, in case of some issue like this.

agreed. I get bugged all the time by users that say they didn't know what they were signing up for. ummm? but yeh, I would like to be able to send em a link.
