it is kinda like a realtime chat MrNase ... the only detail is that it doesn't show the last messages read/writen.... i suggested that to UAE long time ago... as it have now history in the system, i suppose it will be easy for a coder to add that feature...

for the popup you talk about, it IS actually that... you receive a popup when you receive a message.. the popup is activated by AJAX... if your browser does not allow it, the popup will show when you load a new page.

is it integrated with the private message system or got nothing to do with it?

it is a complete independant system... i think the first posts explain it all...

And also a question: It only shows up the pager messages, if you reload a page, correct? Mine does so. Only when i reload a page. Is this the way it should work?

I can't confirm the first one, I can see the statistics.
Second thing: Setup the extension via the vBPage options and give 'vB Pager AJAX Check Period' a value. I set it to 30 (30 seconds).

Some things I noticed:
The popup is misaligned with Opera.. It's too far down on the website.

We need some confirmation after a message is send. When I click the button to send a new pager message to user X and the new window comes up, there's no confirmation at all when the message is send. It only switches back to the list of online users and at first I wasn't sure if the message was send or not.

Opera is not following a single W3C protocol, so it occurs that Opera gives a lot of troubles to the web designers... contact the Opera guys and tell them you paid for their browser and it is having problem displaying Compliant XHTML! -- this is my 2? btw, not UAE or others'..

... in ICQ, MSN, Yahoo etc, you never have a single confirmation that the message is sent... this system is based on these others, trying to mimic them at best... i'm not sure that loading a new page to confirm a sent message is very useful... maybe a vote would give an idea!
