We're having issues with ASO lately. Our site is dog-slow in peak times, and we're constantly getting SQL timeouts. I had one of the other guys I run the site with contact them to ask about CPU usage, logging, etc (basically the things they check when you have SQL chewing up 99% CPU use). The tech hit the site at around 9AM EST, said "it works", and got off the phone with him immediately.

So now I'm logging the CPU/SQL usage myself to try and diagnose what the actual problem is. ASO is decent for smaller sites, but when you get up there in traffic, at least in my experience so far they're a bit lax.

My .2c.

Ive had a similar experience with ASO; maybe they are not expanding their server space or hardware as necessary for their quickly growing community..

but ive finally settled with SixteenOhNine .. ive never dealt with such a solid support team.. they are also vbulletin friendly and vbulletin pros.. very reasonable rates also.. theyve just upgraded all of our packages BTW.

What server are you on? VPS? Dedicated? Shared?
