Next year however, Nintendo is going to be releasing the Revolution which will play all the Gamecube games and its own using their DVD drive. It will also be able to download any game from previous Nintendo consoles from the internet. If you want true edutainment games though, the PC is the best place for that. Not a lot going in that direction in the major console companies. I do know that in the US we have one company call LeapFrog that makes educational game systems. You might see if they have those in Europe as well. |
Wait...it gets better...check this one out -> http://www.theinquirer.net/images/ar...thousedown.pdf
apparently the first gen xbox has issues as well... |
All first ship consoles have issues. Overheating is the most common, the PS2 had fan issues, etc... All it results in is retooling the cooling, issuing new machines to the people who had problems and slipping the fixes into the production line. It really isn't a big deal.

However, I suggest LEAPFROG products for educational "games". Also, to feed your child's mind, I suggest you take him to museums / libraries / zoos / etc. You need to shower him with as much knowledge as possible the first 6 years of their life. This is the time that a child's brain is developing. |

also if you are looking for family friendly games do not expect them available for some time for the XBOX 360 because the main title launch is meant to drawn the main fan base, hardcore game playing teenage boys. Microsoft has vowed however to make the XBOX 360 more family friendly than the XBOX with more titles to appeal to families. this may also explain the more sleek and nonintimidating look unlike the goliath that is the XBOX. actually they were quoted in the New York Times saying they even are going to advertise to housewives to get in on the action. |
Housewives? Do those still exist? I want one.
