While in bridge mode CPG uses only the groups it gets from vB - all stand-alone settings are lost while in bridging. (Also stated that way in the manual). After enabling bridgemode, just go to "Usergroups" while in CPG Admin-Mode. It will then sync with your vB groups and you can edit all permissions for your corresponding vB groups, i.e. assign differnet permissions for each group. As in "Registered" can't have private ablums but "Premium Member" can and so on.... No need to make a copy into CPG Stand-Alone. :) Quote:
Integrating it into the design of vB is a whole other story. Should be possible, yes.... Just not yet done, but I'll try ;) |
Great job. Had a fast and painless install. Works great!

Nice one, thank you Hellcat.
It installs fine but I have one problem which I'm not able to solve. After running the bridgemgr.php the integration works and the users are automatically logged into Coppermine and can upload pics and all but when clicking on "User galleries" they always get the following error: "Critical error: There was an error while processing a database query" If I setup other galleries it works fine, the error is only with "User galleries". Did somebody have the same error and maybe have a fix for it? |
Did you do a full stand alone install of CPG before bridging?
You need to have CPG completely running before enabling bridgemode. If you did do so, I don't have an idea to this at the moment.... /me thinks |
Thanks for your reply Hellcat.
I did a full stand alone install and tested all the functions including the "User galleries" link. As soon as I enable the bridging the "User galleries" link comes up with the error. When I disable bridging, the link is fine again. Maybe it conflicts with some of the other plugins installed. |

Is it need to install a special edition? Where to download? |
@Xzyte:
Very strange. Sorry, no idea about that at the moment, it's working fine here and seems OK for all the others, so there has to be a "special" problem.... Quote:
Try ignoring that message (like it suggests) if you have nothing to do with PHPNuke and only want to integrate it into vB. The script seems to "think" there's a PHPNuke when there isn't.... |
Install in a new database or in the same database vbulletin is installed?
