It might be because you have notification addons installed.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

again and the chat is stuck on loading...

Just Disabled all addons and still get this error when disabling chatbox..

I agree, it looks simple. The ID of the forum where I want the chatbox is 6, so I entered "6". No matter what I put in that field, the chatbox doesn't appear anywhere. Reading through posts, I'm starting to wonder if this might specific to the version of VB I'm running? (Presently I'm testing it on 4.1.8).

Have you activated the option to show on forumdisplay, it's a mix of the two that makes things work

Yes, tried it about every way I could think of. I'm presently on VB 4.1.8, trying this on my test system. Below are the seettings from Admin -> NGC Chatbox Evo -> Display and Position:

its Realy a Great Effort and Good Chat box.
But its Not working for me.

Not Displaying in VB 4.1.10, i have enable this chat but still not displaying.
Also it hides All Options from Style & Language Settings(vbulletin option) after installing This Chat Box.

When i disable mgc chat box. then style and languge option start to display

The chat works. Use firefox and open the error tools and show the JS errors.

Sounds like either you uploaded it wrong, or you have a custom style.

Now i disabled the stop stat mode also. and now there is not any error on my site.
but still i m getting the same .
No Chat box displaying. not on my Default style and nor on my installed new style.

also style and language option are missed

About style and language options, this is a reported bug, I am working on bugs.
Should be releasing an update in the coming 2 weeks.

About your error, the code you point out is not chatbox related, except perhaps the end. Seems like you didn't give the whole error, could you please post the full text of it ?

chat box is displaying now. Just i wasnt Set the permission of the Forum.
a sugguestion:
Kindly suguest the Users about to Set the user group permission 1st. or Set the administrator permission as yes to view the chat box.

I found the reason of the bug in the Style and language options, so this will be fixed in the next release.

I think it's stated in the readme to set the usergroup permissions at the end of the install process.

Hi,

I think I get the same problem as reported here. The chat window is displayed but gets stuck with the 'Loading...' prompt. If you try to post a chat, it goes to another page with a 'Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing' message.

We are using vBulletin 3.1.9 and MGC Chatbox Evo 3.2.1

Templates have minor modification, but only so far as changing site logo and removing the 'What going on' box. I tried reverting the changes, but it did not help.

I have checked the Diagnostics -> Problematic Webserver Modules section, but it shows no issue against mod_security (mod_security, AJAX Unicode Issue, No).

I have also tried clearing the vBulletin cache, but it does not help.

Has anybody else come across this problem or have any advice as to what to try next?

Any advice is appreciated. Many thanks...

Hum, you shouldn't be redirected when posting a chat.

Have you ever used firebug extension in Firefox ? To track any js error.
You'd have to configure it to stop on errors.

And see if you get one. Otherwise I could do it for you if you give me a test account on your forum by PM.

Yeah you need ionCube loader to get the chatbox running.

You should ask your host, any good host will install it for you ;)
It's perhaps even installed but not active, what's your host ?

Our host installed it, though I do have to say he wasn't happy about it..

I can understand your host, having to work is a pain in the ass :)

It's easy for him to say that encryption is a nuisance but hosts aren't subject to people wrong behavior and piracy, so easy to say so ;)

Sounds like host is not too smart. 99.9% have it installed. They do it once and that's it. It takes less than 90 seconds to install

Thanks for the advice. I tried Firebug as you suggested and it highlighted that it couldn't open a number of the javascript files in the mgc_cb_evo/clientscripts folder. I think the files got 700 permissions when I extracted them to my laptop prior to upload. chmod'ed 755 the files and everything is working perfectly now.

Still get this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_NS_SEPARATOR in /public_html/forum/index.php(598) : eval()'d code on line 536

I reported it in the beta period, but either its not fixed, or I am doing something wrong. Ioncube is turned on.
I noticed that there are no files in the clientscript folder, while previously there was a lot of files in clientscript. Is this correct?

Until further notice I am reverting to version 3 again.

@Alfa1 : I answered you during the beta, was asking for access to your server to debug but you never answered. Haven't been able to reproduce that bug :(
Regarding clientscript yes no more files there all files are now in mgc_cb_evo/clientscript.
