Well. I do not suggest having too many weapon categories, because the defence buff is indeed cumulated into the final buff.
Possible suggestions:
* Raise the weapon buff, and lower the price of armor
* Make a new category with "+Atk +Def" items, with either dirt cheap items, or with huge buff values (or a healthy mix ;))
* Remove some categories like "Rings", "Tiaras", "Underwear" and "Codpieces" :p ;)

Second, Ive started working abit on v3 again, mainly tweaking queries and adding small features. No eta yet, but as I have feature locked it, it should be considerably less than if I had to do all the stuff I was planning to do.

Quite right, it will spew off errors all over the place, and every single bit about this hack that involves money will be broken.
In v3 I plan to have it allow the change of points field. It will still have to be in the "user" table, but it wont be limited to uCS :)

Hopefully you made a backup, so... :P
And about the guests thing, its not like this code hijacks the register code, it just borrows the userid variable after vB is done with it.... :p

AdminCP -> Edit Items -> Edit each category so they have a battle function

Revan I have a question , i change my host and when I reinitalled my database I lost all my classes ?
Users rpg level remain the same , itemshop items are the same but classes are gone.

Is there any document where I can find all classes so I can add all the classes ?

The installer.
I dont see why you should lose all classes just cos of a hosts change.... :ermm:

Do I have to re install ?
I checked the files but couldnt find ahy info about the classes,
I just want to add classes one by one from admin panel. The only thing I need the correct stats for each class so I can add them.

Well you can find their info in the installer, they are disguised in some queries in there :p
you can try to weed out the queries, then run them in a seperate file... or summit like that XD

1. The "could not find phrase": Import the rpg_phrases.xml as stated in instructions
2. The blank pages: Import the rpg_templates.xml as stated in instructions
3. The showthread error: Check that line for any obvious errors, if not, post it here along with about 5 lines in each direction. Remember to number them so I know whats what.

I knew those where for something *hasnt hacked a VB in a while so forgot what xml where for*

I couldnt see any obvious errors on line 901. So i did what you told me, here's the line with 5 if above and below:

I think this might be causing another problem because the money in the RPG system is just comming up as: Gil in Pocket: 1e+23. But it comes up normal in the store.
(How do you change the name from Gil btw?)

Nothing clan related is working either =/ Doesnt show up on the navbar drop menu btw ;) But it is questionable.

I've also gotten a problem with the templates. They show up now! But completely white *has attached images*

The only thing in there remotely doable in this would be the enchantable weapons, populary called Synthesise.
Neither of the others is planned in v3 or any immediate version after that either :P

Ah i see.

Hmm it's really bugging me why it doesnt work =/ is it possible you could send me your showthread.php so i can try and find the error?

First, I would like to say that you made a very nice program here. Good job . I am having two problems however that I would like to request guidance for. The first problem is not that huge, but for some reason my admincp/index.php file when loaded only loads the navigation frame and not the information on the right side of the page. My other problem is that although I followed and double checked all the source code and template insertion instructions for some reason the usercp does not include any of the RPG options. As of right now everything else seams to be running smoothly. I am sorry if these questions may have already been answered in your thread although I did my best to find any information on this. If I need to send you a picture of my admincp I can (of course the user options look...well...the same so what would the point of that be ) Any help would be appreciated.

If you do edit the categories, giving them a battle function, then they do work in battle.
I made the weapons two handed and saved them and they still don't work in battle.

Hm... I cant say I have seen this happening before... I dont think the ACP loading stuff is related to this tho...
And try installing one of the navbar dropdown addons, this way you dont have to edit the usercp_shell :)

Hm. Well you can just use onehanded for the time being, as twohanded weapons have no added functionality in battle at this point :)

Heya -

Is there a reason why the system won't require a password for battle?

I've gone through everything I could think of that could've caused this.

I even did the install process from scratch again to make sure I didn't miss a step.

So, wondering if you know something I don't? :)

Thanks that fixed the problem. The admincp problem I fixed by nixing the ushop nav in the sidebar (I don't think it and vbchat agree with each other :tired: ). Everything is working very well right now, however is there a way to have the rpg stats in the postbit as a colapsable menu. This way each post is not very long with lots of white watsed space.

If you added some other Battle Type, causing your character to change Battle Type, this would be the problem. Else, I don't know :(

Nah, sorry don't know what's causing this. But as long as noone can wander in and battle your battles, its no worries? ;)

Install the User Select RPG Postbit addon :)

I haven't installed it yet but i'vep layed this hack on other boards and it will be fantastic. Is there a 'default item list' already there when i install it or do i have to manually add every single item? :/
