I've successfully installed it. I've set up the settings I want. The Points show up, but when I click on any of the options in the Store...

Bank
Richest Members
Most Sold
History

I get a "VBulletin Message" saying "There are no actions"

I don't know what the problem is....I don't get any SQL errors, nuttin. Any Ideas?

sabret00the 04-26-2004 02:09 PM

have you got enough money?

btw Zack any news on the variable for the images?

JaNa 04-26-2004 02:17 PM

Nevermind, I fixed it. I removed Global.php since I was getting errors, I edited it again and uploaded it.

Everything is working fine now, thanks for your help! Great Hack!

The only things I want to know now is. How do you add More welcome text on that top menu?

This is defintly a bad place to ask, I couldn't find the option, but what the hell. How do you make it so members can only add 1 view to a thread..for some reason it keeps updating even when you've already viewed it. For example, I don't want members viewing a thread like 10,000 times using the refresh button, to get thousands of points..

/me Clicks Install

Fluous 04-26-2004 06:48 PM

Ok, I'm having a problem with this. I did all of it, and it worked a couple days ago for me. But now, whenever I turn an action on and then go to www.gameraxis.com/forum/arcade.php its a full white screen. When I turn them off, but to show in the store, it says no actions found. So I'm not sure what is happening. I really need this for my forum and would like it if you could help out. Which I'm sure you will when you have the time.

Another thing is, what are good quantitys and refills to set, and what should i turn on and off in the settings etc. Maybe those are my problems. Can anyone with a working one give me the quanititys refills, and how often it should, and if you have refill on checked. If so thanks. I'll keep on top of this thread.

[Edit] Now the whole things white whether I turn them actively off / to not show in store or if i turn them on :(

I get the same exact error (but on a different line). When clicking a forum or thread, do you get some cookie error crap?

I am using 3.0.1 and I'm not stupid -- the files are edited correctly (I'm not a n00b). I noticed Link said that the cookie error has to do with editing includes/init.php, but that is a very, very simple file edit, as are they all.

I have no clue what is wrong. I have yet to edit any templates because of this error. Anyone ever solve this problem? or is it because it's a vB3.0.1 version?

I'll fix it myself. I don't have time to sit around for help.

Thanks anyway though.

I just fixed it.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/www/web11/html/vb3/global.php on line 630

Was the "full" message. I did not view the source to see if there was more.

Anyway, problem is simple, yet very, VERY stupid on my part: I forgot to run the install file, which...you know, runs the queries. Very dumb.

Just wondering, there's no ushop link on the forumhome or do we need to add it ourselves? Thanks.

Fluous 04-27-2004 03:32 AM

my posts keeps getting overlooked. I did all of the template changes like it said. And it worked for a day or two. But now its doing a no actions found. Everything is uploaded too. When I turn them on and go to the /ushop.php it shows a white screen.

PranK 04-27-2004 11:38 AM

different options on mine keep redirecting to uttstore.php? etc.... whys that? and how do i fix it?

Thanks,

Christian

PranK 04-27-2004 11:44 AM

Oh, and also - is it possible to add an action which adds points to the user? so, I (being admin) can give users "rewards" as such?

Thanks,

Christian

Thanks Zachery,

I know about that, but what I meant is, because I run a car forum, people on my forums write DIY's etc for doing car stuff, what I want to do is have something in the shop that says if you write a DIY, I will give XX Points etc, know what i mean?

Thanks again,

Christian

my suggestion would be to make a new forum where u only allow DIY guides or something and make getting points in that forum higher then the usual
its set at 1 by default
and the advertise how much they get for making a DIY guide ie posting in that forum
in the title

just my two cents :)

Its a good suggestion, turn it on for new threads only, increase the mutiplier by 2 for the new thread and put it for 0 for replys, also put a 2 for threadviews. this way the people view the DYI they will get money along with the initial ammount they got for making the new thread :)

Fluous 04-27-2004 05:04 PM

K Zach, I went back and checked all the file edits, I had missed some in Usergroups. But that doesnt work. When I follow the instructions from the first post saying to remove the second edit and then go to my /forum/ushop.php?rebuildds1 all it says is no actions, so I can go there and have it say no actions, but if i just go to ushop.php its a blank screen so im getting pretty worried :S

Zachery 04-27-2004 05:25 PM

Uninstall the shop with the uninstall link and then reinstall it.

You missed a template edit if there is no link on the navbar

Fluous 04-27-2004 08:37 PM

K, I'm realllllly noob here. Can you lead me to the uninstall link. And also, once it uninstalls, will I have to errr redo all of the edits, or will those stay in play? :(

NuclioN 04-27-2004 10:36 PM

A member asked if it is possible to display the username colors to all visitors in the who's online on forumhome. Now it is only visible to the member who has bought a color.

Zoints 04-28-2004 12:27 AM

When any user tries to deny access to another member in a specific forum, they get the message, "forum is already un accessable" even though the member CAN access it. Everything else is working great? Any ideas?

Fluous 04-28-2004 12:44 AM

Ok, PLEASE do not hate me for this. I looked all around for a install file but found none. Maybe I need to reupload it. I'll check into that.

Got it, uninstalled it, and then I think the main problem was ushop.php, because when i reinstalled it it said error on line 144, and then i replaced the ushop.php with a fresh one and it works perfect. Thanks for the help zach :)

PranK 04-28-2004 01:19 AM

Thanks Zachery and msimsplay! I'll give that a go.

its not called install_ifle i think its cvalled ushop_install.php :)

PranK 04-28-2004 08:33 AM

Zachery, a lot of my options redirect to a uttstore.php file (which obviously doesn't exist) instead of ushop.php - any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks,

Christian

sabret00the 04-28-2004 08:41 AM

Prank: do a find and replace in your templates for "uttstore.php" and replace with "uShop.php" whether you do the replace part manually or let vB3 handle it is upto you.

PranK 04-28-2004 09:28 AM

Sweet - thanks sabretoothe.

Christian
